Silvretta Arena - Skiing area in Samnaun

Eleven kilometres of pure piste fun and boundless skiing pleasure during your skiing holiday in Samnaun. 

You start on the Greitspitze and overcome a difference in altitude of 1,472 m over a length of eleven kilometres. Experienced skiers and snowboarders have the opportunity to prove their skills on the Eleven piste (first part black, then red).

OFF-PISTE AREA
Back to the early days, when there were no groomed ski slopes and our ancestors enjoyed the freedom of skiing and the breathtaking mountain scenery far away from noise and hustle and bustle. Make your first tracks through a still untouched snow cover.

CARVINGPISTES
Experience the true feeling of adrenalin and speed. In the skiing area of Samnaun Ischgl you will find numerous ski slopes which are perfect for carving due to their width.

FAMILY SLOPES
In the Silvretta ski arena, with a total of 238 kilometres of pistes, there is guaranteed to be something for every skier. Depending on the skill level, there are different pistes with varying degrees of difficulty.

MOGUL PISTES & FUN PARKS
For those who love variety and adventure, there are challenging mogul slopes and a total of 4 fun parks.

THE STEEPEST SLOPE
On the black piste 14a - the steepest piste in the Silvretta Arena ski area - you can experience real race feeling! With a gradient of up to 70 percent, adrenaline junkies and demanding skiers and snowboarders are guaranteed to get their money's worth here.

THE LONGEST PISTE
The eleven-kilometre-long Eleven piste (black and red) gives away what it has to offer with its name alone.

On your skiing holiday in Samnaun, the "Smuggler's Round" should definitely not be missing from your programme. This starts on the Idalp at 2,320 m and takes you on a total route of approx. 35 kilometres through the ski area of the Silvretta Arena to the Swiss village of Samnaun.
From the Idalp, the route takes you over the Paznaun Thaya and the Höllspitz towards the Gampenalp and then up to the Palinkopf at 2,864 metres altitude. From there it's about 1,000 m difference in altitude and over 8 km of fun on the slopes to the Swiss village of Samnaun.

There are three new smuggler rounds of varying length and difficulty available to you through the ski area.
Smuggler's Round Gold - 35.7 kilometres of pistes, 6,463 m difference in altitude, challenging slopes
Smuggler's Round Silver - 24.7 kilometres of pistes, 41.1 km of cable car rides, 4,745 m difference in altitude, challenging pistes
Smuggler's Round Bronze - 19.8 km of pistes, 40.2 km of cable car rides, 3,191 m difference in altitude, easy pistes

The Silvretta Ski Arena is the perfect ski area for beginners.
Most ski adventures begin in the centre of the Silvretta snow kingdom: on the Idalp. From here, even the skiing beginners can get started. Flat and wide pistes as well as many T-bar lifts and chairlifts make the first turns easier.
The following T-bar lifts and chairlifts are best suited for beginners:

• Viderböden practice conveyor

Also at the Idalp beginners' area is the snow sports academy, one of the most renowned ski schools in Austria. The highly trained and certified ski and snowboard instructors look forward to skiing the slopes of the Silvretta Ski Arena with you and teaching you how to ski or snowboard.
